You don't have to wonder, nvidia killed 3 and 4-way SLI on pascal, you'll only be able to do 2-way only.

No. Joker has had a lot of sketchy numbers regarding his Ryzen vs Kabylake videos

Not sure why everyone seems to like Ryzen cpu for this. At the moment independent benchmarks are showing i7-7700K as a better gaming cpu.

Maybe at lower resolutions Intel is ahead, but if the op is buying a 1080 ti then I would imagine he is planning on 1440p/4K where the gap will be very very small. Also once Ryzen is properly optimized it will be better still.

http://www.techspot.com/review/1348-amd-ryzen-gaming-performance/ suggests that the gap is similar even at 1440p. Given that the i7 handily beats the 1800X in almost all the benchmarks, the i7-7700K at the very least offers the best gaming price/performance.

It should be noted that the i7-7700K also beats its Broadwell-E brethren most of the time. Which makes sense once one understands that most, but not all games are lightly multithreaded. It all comes down to having a few higher IPC / higher clocked cores. I'm not sure that any amount of software optimization is going to push R7 core performance past that of Kaby Lake.
