27 inch too much for 1080p

WindowsXP16

I'm getting a Samsung 27" Curved Monitor (C27F390FHE) and I'm just wondering if 27" is too large for 1080p as it would the pixels be too large and not as crisp.

I personally think its to large... But you have to remember, most of your TVs are 1080p and they stretch upwards of 40, 50, or 60+ inches and look ok...

24" is the largest 1080p display I would get, anything larger has a slightly pixelated look to it imo.

It's less of a problem on TVs because we sit much further away.

System specs:

4790k

GTX 1050

16GB DDR3

Samsung evo SSD

a few HDD's

You also sit several meters away from TV's typically, and much closer to monitors.

I've been using a 27" 1080p monitor for the last few years, its pushing it sometimes because the pixel density is quite low. 1440p is the sweet spot for 27", I probably wouldn't go higher than 24" on a 1080p monitor again, unless you got a really good deal on the monitor.

It's not even bad for a 34 in ultrawide. Sure it could be sharper but for gaming and movies it's fine. Only during word and stuff does it become noticeable and even then it's not terrible. If you DSR your games you won't even be able to tell it's 1080p

First build every: Intel Core i7 4790K, Asus Z97-A/USB 3.1 motherboard, Kingston HyperX FURY 1866 2x8 16GB Kit, Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 G1 Gaming, Corsair Obsidian 450D Black ATX Mid Tower, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB & 3TB Toshiba HDD, EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2, Corsair H100i GTX 240mm, Gigabyte Bluetooth 4.0/Wifi Card, Logitech G700S. Running on Windows 10

Surface Pro 3: i5 4300U with 8GB of ram and 256GB SSD. Running Windows 10 Pro
