Xeons and ITX boards

Hello everyone 

 

So me and a colleague in work were talking about him building a new system for his house and he said he wanted a Xeon based system but he wants it to be small. 

I so i suggest maybe just maybe there might be an ITX board that accepts Xeon CPUs.

 

What is the Oldest Xeon that is accept by an ITX board (if possible)?

well try for itx x79 or older mobos or a server one but i dont think it has itx

there is no x79 itx, only x99 itx..

The only ITX server motherboard i can think of is the Asus P9D-1.

Also Intel sells some ITX server motherboards.

keep in mind you can run xeons on mainstream boards all the way up to lga1151

with that C series bs.. still can get B81 boards and xeons as a good midpoint between i5 and i7
