Yes, you can set up RAID in windows, though I'm not too sure how that'll end up if you have your OS already installed on one of the drives..

Might be best to return the drives and get a single larger drive.

Right now I am trying to install windows on a 60GB partition on one of the drives, then RAIDing the unused 60GB with the unused drive, then extending the volumes. Can I extend a RAID array?

You'll only be able to get the 60GB from each into the array if you use up 60GB for windows, then you'll have another 60GB or so left over on the other drive.

Raid 0 arrays have to be the same size on all disks.

I forgot to say that I would install another copy of Windows onto the RAIDed volume, then boot from that volume and extend the RAID array, deleting the first windows install on the 60GB.

It might work, but it's highly unlikely.

I haven't worked too much with RAID arrays in the past, and for sure haven't attempted what you're trying to do.

You could give it a go, then let us know how it works out.

So far, not so good. When I tried to boot from the 60gb non RAIDed drive, i got a BSOD (kernel corrupted). :(
