Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.

Hi,

I would suggest that you should a K branded cpu(i7 4770k) if you plan to overclock

Or if you don't plan to overclock, don't get a z87 board. get anything else LGA 1150 :)

and also, I wouldn't suggest to get that card. It's a litle old

get something like this

http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/228884/VIDEOCARDS_RADEON_R9_270X/Sapphire/Sapphire_Dual-X_R9_270X_2G_OC_with_Boost.asp

it will outperform it and it's almost the same price

Also, give us your location(country) and your budget and we'll make a part list for you. don't forget to specify if you need any os peripherials and monitors

AMD Athlon X4 750k; Gigabyte F2A88XM-DS2; 8Gb Corsair XMS 1600 Mhz; AMD Hd5670 1Gb DDR3; Bequiet E6-600W; W7 Ultimate x64

Would a GTX 770 be a good card?

I live in Australia and my budget is around $1600.00

Also, is there any chance that I could get parts very close to the other ones above?

Thanks.

So

Yes, the GTX770 will be a good card, but I would choose the ATi HD 7970 because it performs better and it's cheaper

I know that it's $60 more than your budget but it's more balanced and it will perform better(because of that gpu) and it will feel faster(because of that ssd)
what do you think?

I think the K version only offers a small performance boost doesn't it? and also it enables you to overclock it?

I do like those parts and I will take it into consideration.

Thank you for creating that list so fast :)

Also, with the parts I chose, would you say that they are all compatible with each other?

yes, they are compatible but you have chosen a low res screen when 1080p screens ar the standard :)

K and non-K are same at stock. Both have Hyperthreading which auto-ocs cpu to about 3.9GHz. Only difference is that K is the OC model thus needing Z87 board.

PC Specs:

RAM:

Corsair 8GB (2 x 4GB) PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 RAM - 9-9-9-24 - Low Profile Vengeance Series

http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/173132/MEMORY_MEMORY_DDR-3_RAM/Corsair/CML8GX3M2A1600C9.asp

I would much appreciate your responses  :)

i would reccomend you not to buy the corsair vengeance, its overpriced for what it is, if you have enough clearance between the cpu cooler and the ram id say you should get the Kingston hyper x ram 8gb 1600mhz

http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-2133MHz-PC3-17000-KHX21C11T3K2-8X/dp/B00A77204K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384249735&sr=8-1&keywords=kingston+hyperx+beast+8gb

that one is expensive still, try to find the 1600mhz version, you dont gain much from getting a 2133mhz RAM

but your parts are very much compatible, you will have no issues regarding that

I think I might go with a 120gb SSD for a bootdrive. Thanks for the suggestion!
