PC Will Not Start

OH $H!T! I put my pc on sleep and now it will not power on. The "clear cmos" blue led lights up, and I have unplugged everything but the power for cpu and motherboard. All IO ports are empty and all internal ports and such are empty. Where I clear the bios and use a key to start up the computer (I thought the power button or wires went bad) it hear a click sound.... more like a fan trying to start but can't. It is coming from the psu. Is my PSU bad? FYI GPU is out as well.

1050w EVGA PSU

Are there any POST codes?
Either they'll show up on a connected monitor, on a little display on the motherboard, or a come from a speaker that you connect to the motherboard that'll beep.

Nothing my man.

 

My PSU came with a shorting adapter, and a eco fan mode. The fan won't even start! Hmmmmm PSU is bad... opinion?

After speaking to a nice gentleman from EVGA he suggested I unplug it and wait 30 minutes and then plug it back in and short the psu. Well after waiting about 5 minutes I tried it and it worked. So I unplugged it and am waiting a little bit for it to clear and I will plug it back in and put things back in and plug all the ports internal and external back in.

 

He said that it could have been one of the safety features that detects over-voltage and keeps itself from powering back on. I was told that once in a blue moon it will happen (assuming your parts are working properly) and that if it should continue to do it, to do an RMA. I have never had this happen to me before but that is ok. I would rather have a safety feature bug me one time than my pc go up into a huge ball of flames.

It has done it again. This time it froze during the post when it asked if I wanted to go into setup or continue into windows. Hmmm..... could something else be going bad?

After getting another PSU and testing with that, and tearing my pc apart I have found that it is the motherboard. Great.. right when I really need my pc. If anyone needs or wants specifics please reply at anytime (even if this thread is super old).
