so as you've probably heard unless you live under a rock, everyone since and even before the launch of the switch has been waiting for melee hd, an HD variant of almost everyone's favorite installment to the smash bros series. but why go through the complicated process of modding your 'cube to be HD or waiting nintendo to officially release it, I've come up with what i think is a pretty good quencher for everyone's thirst of melee HD.

materials:

 wii (with gamecube compatability)

 a copy of melee

an HDTV (obviously)

and this:  https://www.amazon.com/Andoer-Wii-Upscaling-Converter.../dp/B007RKXN46

steps

1: plug the adapter into your wii

2:plug an hdmi cable from the adapter to your tv (you probably already knew that :p)

3:boot up your wii and go to settings ---> screen ------> and click on hdtv

4: put your copy of melee into your wii.

5: enjoy melee in crispy 720 or 1080p!

NOTE: you have to change the screen type on your wii to HD or you won't see a difference other than that, enjoy you DIY melee hd that only cost around $10! *depending on how much you spend on your adapter, the cheapest one i found on amazon was about $10 USD*

That's a fucking shite way to do it.

Best way IMO is to get a GameCube and the Component/D-terminal cables for it. Those Wii to HDMI things upscale anyways, and generally not in a good fashion, either.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!
