If you have an Intel network card. The way I usually check If I have network problems is this: Device Manager > Network Adapters > Link Speed > Diagnostics, I usually run all 3 tests. Also try reinstalling the driver for your network.

1. Look at the ethernet port. There should be at least one indicator light next to it, which lights up when there is connectivity. If there is no light then you dont have the indicator led or there is a hardware issue.

2. Look in windows network center (bad translation ?), there should be a local area connection there. If there isn't, go in device manager and check if your ethernet adapter is recognized.

If there is a yellow triangle next to it, try to restart your pc. If the triangle stays there, reinstall ethernet drivers.

3. Disable wifi to make windows use the ethernet connection. (wifi has priority for some weird reason...)

If it is still not working, make sure your cable is okay and the ethernet adapter is enabled in bios. If it is enabled but windows can't find it, then you have a faulty mobo.

You should also try another port on your router.
