AGA and MSI's Shadow Dock for it's GS30 are FAR better than TB3. TB3 is absolute garbage for eGPU in terms of performance. I would suggest that you get last gen's Alienware 15 R2 with a 6820HK and a 970m for FAR LOWER prices and ability to OC the CPU to remove some CPU overhead. Since you plan to eGPU anyways, internal GPU is pretty meh. If you do get the R3 with a 1070, it essentially makes anything short of a 1080ti useless.
