Good Day

Currently i am playing Far Cry 4 again and i am noticing that the framerate isnt admireable. When the game is set to high i get around 40-50 fps but on ultra it sits at about 30-40fps and dips regularly under 30 i tried unparking the cpu and setting the priority of the process to high it just feels odd that my rig cant play far cry 4 smoothly i am noticing through after burner that the gpu isnt really doing anything and task manager tells me that far cry 4 is using around 45% cpu

nvidia stuff is turned off and im not using any antialiasing

Specs: CPU:8320@5ghz GPU:RX 480 strix variant 8GB 1600mhz ram

Thanks in advance and i apologise for my english :)

CPU Bottleneck.

Check if any of the cores are being maxed out. maybe it is just only using 4 of 8 cores.

thanks for your quick respond it looks like every core is about the same load in task manager and after burner confirms this can you tell me which options are cpu bound in far cry 4

thanks for the response.

But i said in the post that i dont use any AA

Hmm ok. Your GPU should handle it just fine. Your CPU it is than. 8 Core CPU´s..not the best choice for Gaming. You could try the Tool CPU-Controll, to force FC use all Cores. No quaranty it work.

my question is which settings specifically stress the cpu since i found out that there are some but i dont know which ones since lowering the graphics increases the fps but gpu usage stays the same
