SLI Bridge Needs

So I am about to buy a 2nd GTX 1070 and go SLI on my board, the MSI Z170a Gaming M7, but am conflicted as to which SLI Bridge I need.

But I want to be 100% certain.

Wouldn't it be 4 slots not 3 since sli uses the 2 top pcie slots?

From MSI's website, this is how it shows this SLI bridges configuration, which seems to align with how this board is setup. But this is also why I was getting confused a bit when looking through data to figure out which I needed.

Look again. It's msi m7. And look at the board too. Plus manual. The top slot runs at x16 and the slot below runs at x8. The bottom runs at x4. Sli need x8/x8. The slots was deliberately painted silver. https://ca.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-M7.html#down-manual

I am still getting bit confused here. There is 2 pcie slots between the top pciex16 and the one below. So idk.

lol now you know why I asked which.. I am pretty sure this is the correct one based on the pictures for that bridge. There is 5 slots total from the top of card 1 and bottom of card 2 with 1 PCI 1x in between, which lines up with the way the pictures goes.

haha, I am "working" so I have to be up... joys of network engineers on overnight shifts  so this pictures confirms the 3 slot. The "M" bridge it is. Thanks to you and @airdeano for the help this morning.
