1700x Temps

Just curious, I seem to get an idle temp of 45-55*C and load temps were looking low 70's with a Hyper 212 Evo no OC.  Anyone else seeing these results?  The back of the CPU socket feels cool, so not sure if it's a wanky sensor or not.

Are you running latest bios version? Ik msi and Asus am4 boards are a bit iffy currently.

Yes, that's when I noticed the idle temps went up.  I notice the voltage likes to spike a bit.

What's you're ambient temperature at? Low 70's is decent considering they oc themselves. Could explain volt spikes too.

I ran AIDA64 for 10 minutes and it hit like 71*C last night.

Both me and xVIP have the same issues with the 1700x and 1800x. Idle at 49-55c and 63-66c max using a corsair h100i

Ryzen chips have sensors per core.  What you're getting is the hottest point on the chip for single number report.  I usually have a difference between the motherboard report and Ryzen Master of about 15 to 20 degrees difference

True for stock.  I hit 70 and stayed within a degree during a 4.1ghz OC in 30 min of Prime95.
