ram expansion

i have just bought a gaming pc and have built it myself, however i only have 2x4gb = 8gb of ram in specific 

Corsair CMK8GX4M2A2400C14 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) Vengeance LPX DDR4 Memory Kit.

my question is, if i buy another pair of the same sticks, speed and size ram, does that effectively increase my ram capacity from my current 8gb to 16gb ???

Welcome to the forum.

 

If you have 4 RAM slots then yes, your RAM capacity will go from 8GB to 16GB, no problem at all
