wtf is wrong with my camera?

Hi,

 

A few months ago I got my camera unit replaced on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Now recently I started noticing something strange on my photos. 

It looks like a weird smiley, but I can't seem to explain how it gets there. I cleaned the lens, but I don't think that's the problem here.

Look at the video I made while zooming in and out. (look at the bottom right) 

 

Can anyone explain this?

If you've dropped it or had a laser pointed at it, that would explain it.

 

My camera doesn't even focus right now because I've dropped my phone so much.

Yea I did have a laser pointed at it few weeks ago. Could that be the problem?

Very possible. Cameras really dislike lasers pointed at them. Unfortunately, if you look at one of EverythingApplePro's newer videos, he points retardedly powerful lasers at an iPhone 7 and makes the front camera completely retarded and the rear camera basically useless.

Just saw that video. The shop I bought my phone from replaced the camera a few months ago, so I'm just gonna go back and tell them their replacement is messed up. I still have warranty on the phone.

Wait, I dropped my phone a lot of times too. So could that mean that's why my S6's camera makes sounds sometimes when focusing?

Lol. I had the same problem. Does it also make a little noise when you open the camera?

 

Yeah that's the reason why I got my camera replaced. Never had that issue ever again. If you still have warranty on it RMA it.

Yep, had that little noise when I opened it, and nope, Warranty is out. I am gonna repair it once my contract ends

I went to the store with it and Samsung replaced the camera unit. I googled it before and I couldn't find anyone else who also had the same exact problem. It's just a faulty camera. Mine was also dropped. Just a new camera will fix it. 

 

(just don't point any lasers to it XD)

Yep XD, though I don't think there are any samsung stores nearby for me

I brought it to the store I bought it from. I think any phone repair shop can do the same repair. It only needs a new camera unit that's all. Just don't get scammed if they tell you something more is wrong with it or smth.

Ik, though my phone has more than just a camera wrong with it . Need a new Super AMOLED panel as mine burns in a bit and a new battery as it starts to die faster every month that passes

It's possible. My phone does a shutter snap sound that's not software when you take a picture and/or close the app.

Huh, My phone does not. Still too poor to afford the repair costs of my S6 at the moment  Maybe by the end of the year ill have money for a nice repair to the whole phone. Since I still want the "Flagship" experience that I have with the S6. Id rather fix my S6 than to buy a new budget phone. I guess i'm stuck using my HP Stream till then

I really want to get rid of my Galaxy Avant and get a Moto G4 Plus, but so many other things need to come first... Like a graphics card that doesn't flip out literally every day.
