What do you think causes this problem that I am seeing. I don't think that is a software problem, becouse that happens at bios too. Looks bit different tho. Goes bsod if loads to Windows.

No but I have tried that cable on my old ps3 and it seemed to be working. I have tried my other gpu too.

Well if you verified the cable and monitor are fine, then sure, we can call the GPU bunk and it needs to be replaced.

So, nothing I can do?

Yeah, pretty much.

If it looks that way in BIOS and you're certain there's nothing else wrong with the card (like a faulty cooling system) then there's nothing you can do in software to fix it.

Since you have verified that the tentacle monster is plugged into your card, I can only think of a few possibilities.

If you can, try the card in a different computer. This at least should rule out (or verify) that the card is dying/dead.

If it isn't the card, your PSU might be ready to die.

The only other thing I can think of...

I once had a problem very similar (except is was a black screen and not shredded like yours). Old PC and the new gfx card wouldn't work. It turned out that the slot I had my gfx card plugged had to be configured in BIOS. Some real old machines have PCIe slots that can be set to different standards. That is to say you can set it to PCIe x8, PCIe 2 X8, etc. In some cases the slot can even be set to IDE (sorry, I meant PCI not IDE).

Other than those possibilities, I have no idea.
