Will this adapter work?

I need an adapter for a Gigabyte Rx 460 to connect to a VGA monitor. Would the one in the pictures be viable? I think its dvi-d to vga but I'm not sure.

If you already have the adapter why not plug it in and see? But yes it works.Adapter to the gpu and vga cable to the monitor. You just need a vga cable if you dont already have one

That adapter is a DVI-A/DVI-I one, so no, it won't work.

 

If it has four pins on the left side with the "blade" pin, it's a passive DVI to VGA converter and so it won't work with DVI-D.
