I know this seems dumb but just bear with me please. Slither.io, one of those dumb online browser games that run perfectly on $100 chromebooks won't run smoothly on my desktop. Maybe my computer is a complete potato and that's the reason? No, there is no reason I should have problems on an i7-6700k + GTX 1080 pc. The problem I'm facing is stuttering, the game jitters and stutters 100% of the time and is so bad it borderlines on unplayable. This isn't a huge issue for me as I barely even play the game at all but from time to time I'll get on and play for 10-15 minutes. My temps are fine obviously as the game doesn't stress anything, processor is always at 4-4.3 ghz (stable).

Why can't I run this but The Witcher 3 at Ultra settings runs at 80+FPS?

Check browser settings, and also check your network usage.  The Chromebooks depend on google's filtering, which is quite good and smooth.  Chome browser in Windows may be affected by other settings.  You could also download the 'FreeMeter' app and see what your bandwidth is looking like while playing the game.

Do you have hardware acceleration in chrome on or off?  tbh I'm not sure if that will even make a difference but it's worth a try ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
