videos on ssd

are there any point of puting movies/videos into ssd? sometime when i watch movies of my external hdd it kinda lags if you know what i mean its certianly not gpu my gpu is gtx 960

test ur videos using mpc-hc or vlc player...see if there is any lag.

videos should not lag in a hdd...unless its a crazy high bitrate 4k

even then i doubt it will lag

It depends on the bit rate of the movies? If you are running uncompressed bluray over a USB 2.0 drive you should see some shuddering. Even uncompressed DVD may give you some issues occasionally. If it's an option an internal hdd or USB 3.0 hdd enclosure should solve the problem.

test mpc-hc...vlc lags on some x265 videos
