help with m.2 storage struggles

Joppert

Hey guys!

So i found this deal on a special ssd.

It's a Transcend SSD: 240GB JetDrive 725.

spects:

Interface SATA III 6Gb/s
Capacity 240GB, 480GB, 960GB
Flash Type Synchronous MLC

And I have this motherboard.

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI --> https://pcpartpicker.com/product/7jPfrH/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97xsli

spects:

M.2 PCIe connector
(Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SATA & PCIe SSD support)

My question is will these two work together?

And can i boot from this ssd?

As above you just need to connect it with a SATA data and power cable and it should work fine. And yes you can boot from it if you install windows on it.
