Hi all,

Right to the point; I recently checked in on my shared storage PC and noticed UDMA errors on two Seagate drives (ST4000DM000-1F2168) with values of 32 and 16380 respectively. For now I'll try changing cables, and there's no reason to think there's a problem with the power supply or SATA controllers (all other drives are fine). My question though; is existing data corrupted or are there mechanisms to correct this automatically? I have noticed the occasional corrupted old JPEG and MP3s skipping etc. Could this be the problem?

edit: It seems like a faulty SATA cable. Swapped it out and the errors stopped. Still concerned about existing data integrity though.
