I have a asus Rog Gr6 ( https://www.asus.com/us/Mini-PCs/ROG_GR6/ ) . It is a mini Pc with okay specs except the gpu. i bought this PC a year ago for school but now im getting into gaming and this gtx 960M is not cutting it. I need to upgrade the GPU but i dont not have the money to buy a whole new rig. Is a external GPU a thing and if so would it be compatible with my PC? Thank you :)

That uses laptop graphics wich means unless your PC

a. Has a PCIE slot

b. Has a thunderbolt 3 port

 

If it doesnt..

i'm fairly certain that, that pc is about upgradable as a laptop so upgrading the GPU just isn't a possibility, it also doesn't have a thunderbolt 3 port so there's no way to use an external gpu enclosure sorry

Can't use any sort of external gpu dock with that. Also wouldn't be able to put a SFF card in. Even if you could buy a dock and gpu, the cost would be about the same as a lower spec gaming pc. I recommend saving up and building one.
