I found this monitor: G2460VQ6 and it has a freesync while I don't have amd.

It's a 75hz monitor but someone said that the there's screen tearing or whatever WITHOUT amd and at 60 hz it's fine.

I'm planning on buy amd but in a year or two.

So can anyone confirm that I won't really be able to game at 75hz because of tearing?

you can definitly game at 75hz with minimal tearing without gfx sync like gsync or freesync

If you have a GPU that allows for a minimum of 75 fps in any specific game, just turn on V sync and you'll be fine. Also use something like msi afterburner and limit your fps to 75.

I got a 750 ti atm, won't really achieve 75fps in games I usually play (arma 3, ark)

You can either deal screen tearing (if there will be any)

You can underclock your monitor to a round number like 60 and turn vsync on

Buy a different monitor

Or wait until you can get a free-sync capable card.

Turning vsync makes it even worse if you can't get to 60fps.

If it's not stable 60 it should half to 30fps

Try halving 75 once or twice lol

(They would pretty much have to deal with what they are working with until they upgrade gpu)

I did hear something strange some time ago about a FreeSync monitor not outputting 75 Hz unless you had an AMD GPU. I have no idea if it's that one.
