Hello community, i have bought this motherboard - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z9PED8_WS/specifications/
and i have been looking for some RAM for couple of weeks now, and just today i had luck finding this offer that seems too good to be true -
8GB HMT41GV7BMR4A PC3L-10600R DDR3-1333 REGISTERED ECC 1.35V MEMORY

Everything seems fine, but i am not an IT guy, so maybe someone could tell me if this is a good deal and if it would fit my motherboard i would just buy it, Thank you

You can't use it, the motherboard does not support ECC sticks.

Also next time read the community standards, Ebay links are banned.

they don't want people posting links to possible scammers, or promote their products. Otherwise LTT would be liable.

1) how do you plan to put 12 sticks into only 8 dimm slots?

2) no, as stated above, the motherboard doesn't support ECC ram.

Price just seems really great, so i would be happy to set those 4 sticks a side and maybe sell them later

It supports registered memory, but not ECC.

They're separate things incase you got them mixed up? idk.

And true at that price, even having 4 spare sticks its still a very good deal haha.

Thank you for the replies, this part really tricked me in to thinking it does support ECC
8 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR3 2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory *1

also in pcpartpicker there seems to be no compatibility errors - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bDwB7h

 @Megah3rtz @RKRiley     Or am i so stupid 9_9

I missed the ECC bit on that.

It doesn't say if it supports ECC or non ECC registered memory though, as registered memory is available in both types, thats what would matter :P now i'm confused haha. At a guess i'd say it supports both though with it not stating which type of registered it can use, but that's a guess.
