ACT Test

Hi guys I just received my ACT scores but I'm sad

I got composite score of 23

The scores are

math:28

Reading:22

Science:25

Stem:27

English:17

I feel pretty good with my math score and science, but I'm sad with my score in English.

Do you guys have any tips on how to improve English and reading scores????

English isn't my first language because my family moved to U.S few years ago and I'm still learning English

My friends says that reading out loud helps but I don't get it........

You probably did better than many people who are native English speakers, so good job regardless. I think a lot of your learning will come from listening and/or reading to how others socialize, which will include slang at times that could potentially confuse you.

A while back you could go onto just about any social media platform and it was guaranteed that you would see replies from people correcting someone else's errors in jest, but that doesn't happen as often anymore.
