Low RAM Error

Go to solution Solved by grayperview,

whats your page file set to?

I think i had something similar on a windows 8 laptop, turned out the page file was too small.

I have 8GB of RAM in my system, and as the image shows currently there was only around 4GB being used, but as soon as it goes just over 4GB I get the error, "your computer is low on memory".

The error message then closes my applications.

Why is Windows saying memory is low when only half is in use?

Either one stick is dead or the bios on your motherboard is going crazy.

My Pc: Cpu: I7 4790k @ 4,8 Ghz @1,25 volts, Motherboard: Maximus VII Formula, Graphicscard: 2x Titan X @1,4 at stock voltage (soon to be replaced), Ram: 32 gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 Cl 9, SSD: 2x 850 Pro 1 Tb in Raid 0, 2x Samsung 840 Evo 1 tb raid 1,, PSU: Corsair HXi Series 1000W 80+ Platinum, Case: H440. Soon to be watercooled again, maybe, probably, the Titans are too loud.

All of the RAM shows up in Windows and the bios, so would the stick be dead

Just test the ram sticks separated.

I will continue iterating this....Memtest is not that accurate. I had a malfunctioning stick that passed in Memtest. Just test the sticks individually in your day to day usage.
