searching for software client CCTV DVR

I bought a new DVR to replace the old one

the issue I'm having with the new one is that it doesn't come with it's own separate client software for Windows - it relies on IE plugins and it sucks ass

the only good app available for it is for Android and iOS, but those aren't useful to me - vMEye https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vMEyeSuperHD.ui&hl=en

 

does anyone know of a general use DVR client software?

 

some info:

DVR is AHD

system recognizes itself as: V4.02.R11

port is 34567

I'll be using 8 cameras
