MSI Laptops help

Hi guys,

 

looking to upgrade my current laptop to a more advanced laptop. 

 

Price range is about £800 ($993) 

 

I have found 2 laptops that look good for my needs (Dota, Battlefield, Rust.)

What's your current laptop specs?

I will recommend gtx 1050 laptops.

hence why I want an upgrade is was mainly for work at university, but I like to play games, and I struggle to play Dota 2 on this laptop.

If your goal is to play Dota 2, here's my opinion:

For 768p u need 6200u/7200u + 940MX/950m(max settings)

For 1080p u need quad core CPU + 960m or 1050/1050ti(max settings)

try to find acer vx15, dell 7567, msi gl62m-7rd, and hp pavilion 15t, all of them have gtx1050 gpu.

Do you have any other requirements like ips screen, black and red theme etc?

1080p good refresh rate, don't really need a DVD Drive. and good battery life is needed.

I think you need to increase your budget if you need any display over 60hz

The Dell 7567 has a good battery, more than 10 hours on wifi according to notebookcheck: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-Inspiron-15-7000-7567-Gaming-Notebook-Review.196454.0.html
However it's display is mediocre.
