Ive noticed this alot and it doesn't make sense at all . In the task manager my RAM usage comes up as  500mb being used in the " users tab" , while in the " usage" tab it comes up as 8gb out of my 16, This both of these somehow equal 45-50% of my memory.  I dont understand this at all as the numbers just dont add up , any explanation  is appreciated.

EDIT: here i attach my task manager with only This LTT tab open, paint so i can save the scrnshots and the task manager.

Also note that at this point the ONLY programs i have opened are:

GPU tweak

Malwarebytes

Paint

Skype

Chrome

Control panel

You might have some virus or other background process (antivirus?) that is using lots of ram. The amount of ram being used though suggests it is a virus or something.
