Hey peepz i was trying to access the bios of my old prebuild to tweak the fan when I realized i couldn't even get into it. I pressed F2 and Del repeatedly and nothing happened other than the bootup stopping and going into a black screen. I have know idea what is happening so help me pls!

I agree with what everyone else said. Try resetting CMOS too

How old is the PC? If it's too old it might not even have a BIOS utility xD

What model HP is it. Try Del, ESC, F10. If you google the exact model and "BIOS access" you will most likely find the axact key your supposed to press. Also, when asking for help don't give lazy half answers or no one will be able to help you.
