Hey All!

New here but not new to water cooling.

So I did all custom wiring for my new PC.  In doing the pump I took off the 2 Pin Miles and replaced it with a 6 Pin atx connector so I could hook it directly to my PSU ( EVGA 1000 P2).  I have the 12v and ground in the correct position.

So when I do the paper clip trick and try to fill my loop, the pump does not power on.  My fans power on....but not the pump.

Any ideas??  Should I keep the molex and go from molex to 6 Pin Periferial.

The faster reaponse the better!!  Thanks all!!

Just FYI tomorrow morning I am going to re-solder the molex connector on and try it on my secondary PC that has two working pumps.  If it doesn't work there then I'm guessing it's a dead pump....which seems uncommon.

Not uncommon. Products arrive DOA quite a lot, it happens to every tech. product. You're just unlucky if it happens to you.

This isn't DOA but I ordered a new pump and got a pump made in 2014, it made a high pitched buzzing sound, I told Amazon I wanted a new one since this is isn't even new, 3 years old. Received a new one that was made in 2016 works flawlessly. No buzzing sound.

So you don't know how long the product has been sitting there collecting dust, lots of products get damaged in shipment, some are just faulty from quality control. As for my pump, it had a Manufactured in "Month/Year" label on it.

If it's returnable don't mess with it and just get it replaced.
