I am going to get a Asus Prime B250M-A motherboard ( https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-B250M-A/overview/)

and i was wondering if it was compatible with WD Blue m.2 ssd (https://www.wdc.com/products/solid-state-drives/wd-blue-ssd.html#WDS250G1B0B)

yeah it will support both the standard and m.2 versions :)

I was just looking at the connectors and saw that the motherboard looked like it had 1 big bit and 1 small bit whereas the M.2 ssd looked like it had 1 bit bit and 2 small bits

one with only "2 bits" isnt an m.2 ssd its a mSATA SSD ;)

without context im a little confused xD

basically m.2 is a standard. and they all tend to have 3 bits.
