Hi. I will share with you my stupidly unfortunate series of events in hopes of getting some help.

I am doing this here because amazon services are incredibly frustrating. Google doesn't find anything useful and all amazon forums look so outdatet and poorly made they make me sick.

So :

I had both an amazon.com and an amazon.co.uk account with the same email address. I am in the UK, so I used the .co.uk one to start my 6 months of Amazon Student. When I wanted to try the included Prime Music, it redirected me to the .com site and wouldn't let me log in. So I decided to close my .com account. ( I can't remember how, but I did it without contacting amazon by email). This didn't fix the music. I continued to use my uk account to shop for about 2 months, until today.

Today, I decided I'd give Last Pass a try to manage my passwords. I chose to add my Amazon account as a test. At some point in doing this I decided to sign out of my uk account to log back in using Last Pass. At this point amazon said there was no account with this email address. My account was gone. I signed up for a new one using my email and it worked. I feel so stupid.

I know I probably won't get my account back. I tried contacting amazon support but again, everything is too confusing. My issue fits in none of the categories in their form. My only concern are my cards from my old account. In the absolutely impossible case someone got my account and changed my email, can they access my full credit card info from it ?

Thanks.

Just contact Amazon. Use the online chat. You don't have to pick the exact topic, they'll still help you.

It's no more confusing than setting up an Amazon account. Just give them the log in info and ask why it doesn't work.

I've never had a problem with Amazons support, and I've used it quite often.

I too have two separate accounts.

If you're that worried about it, just get a new credit card number issued.
