I have and M5-sonthing motherboard- https://goo.gl/HU562a and it's a new build, and I'm having some audio issues. First of all, the front panel mic or headphone jacks don't work. I checked the connections too. Windows recognizes the front panel audio jack, but not the headphone one. (it's just the one hd internal audio cord to the motherboard right?) Am I missing some drivers? I didn't find any audio drivers on the motherboard website. The regular audio jacks on the back on the motherboard work normally. I also have this other weird thing- in the audio devices. I have 5 "Digital display audio" things. it's the one circled below. here is my build-  and i have some screenshots below. one more thing how do I uninstall the "elgato sound capture" I accidentally installed when I was installing the elgato game capture softare.

sorry if I had too many questions thanks in advance

EDIT: btw the top pic is recording devices and the bottom is playback devices

Well, my only recommendation left is to try and tighten your cables in the front of the case, not at the end that you are plugging into the motherboard.

I think it's soldered in with the case... let me check

Well, not much else to tell you :/ You are going to have to live with the connections on your Mobo

what about uninstalling the elgato sound capture... it isn't listed in programs and features
