I need help Deciding

Okay so I am stuck between getting one of these two AMD cards: Sapphire R9 280x Toxic or AMD R9 290 (non x).

 

-I cant seem to find any benchmarks with the toxic in play

 

--Should I wait for the aftermarket cards for the 290 (non x)? If so when will they be released.

Well, if you're doing 1080p gaming, a 280X would be sufficient. A 290 is a good overclocker according to Slick's benchmarks, so we have no idea how good it willbe as a non-reference card.

A 280X is a 7970 Ghz Edition so if you are playing 1080p, you should be fine maxing out settings. If you have the money, you could go with a R9 290 but I would wait for non reference coolers to release so you can overclock in the future.
