Normalizeing/Temperature Fluctuation standarizing

Hello everyone,

I am taking CPU heatsink temperature measurements with different Fan configuration and fans.  I have all the temps, minimums, maximums and averages (each core and cpu as a whole plus MB) and am now trying to compare them (all measured in C).  I know that in order to acturately compare these measurements I need to normalize them but I do not know how to go about doing this nor could i seem to find it online.  I know that in Linus' CPU cooler compareison video he standardized the temps to 20 or 21C (not sure which number) but i could not find the scientifci method for doing so or find him explaining his method.  I am just looking for asstance to insure I compare these properly and I have acturate results to make the moxt informed descision.

If any additional information is needed to clarify things feel free to ask.

Thank for all the help,

SirHolmes

The only reason you would normalize if you were sharing these or your room has changes temp. You can still compare temps without normalizing if your room temp is only changes by one or two degrees.

If you want to normalize for 20 degress for example and your room temp was 30 degress and your cpu temp was 90 degrees you subract 10 from 90 as your room temp is 10 degrees higher than the temp you want to normalize to.
