Job advice

I'm currently looking for a computer repair job in my area, and have found a few places that seem good but aren't offering any jobs, does anyone have any advice the only job I've had is at my college.

Computershops don't have big margins, increasing overhead by hiring staff just doesn't work usually. Repairs can't cost much and they can't put much of a margin on the boards either (competing with internet). The only ones capable of hiring extra people are large concerns, I'm sure you have a few big tech companies that sell multimedia stuff. But those outsource repairwork, so it probably boils down to sales only.

Well that's a matter of confidence and trust... Never broke anything that I couldn't afford to replace. It's only now that I'm a bit careless with stuff

Maybe try applying to the Geek Squad at your local Best Buy if it has to be computer repair related. I don't think they are exclusively computers, so they may train you on installing and repairing home theater setups.
