Hi guys,

I configured all my cooling fans in Speedfan program. I have 4 case fans, two of which are controled with the fan controler and two of which are controled through fanspeed and are bined to the GPU temp, speeding up as the GPU heats.

I have a Neptun 240M AIO with two EK Vardar F3 120mm fans, which are together plugged into cpu fan header. They're supposed to speed up as the cpu heats. But here's the problem. Speedfan doesn't show a correct CPU temp package. It's the same with AIDA 64, where you get individual core temps and a cpu package, which is significantly lower, thus not correctly displaying CPU temperature. The CPU sensor in Speedfan reads CPU package temps, which are NOT representative of the real core temp average. Is there any way to make it read something else? I have it configured so it works this way as well, but the problem is that CPU package temps change slower than the core temps, and fans respond with a serious delay. For example:

They have a fan curve, where at idle fans would only spin at 800rpm. But under load they go up to a 1100rpm. When I start AIDA  64, core temps go up in seconds, but CPU package only follows with a minute delay or so, never showing temps higher than 46C, even tho cores are in high 60s. Here are some pictures for reference:

My question is. Is there any other way to read average cpu temps in order to have fans more responsive without the delay. I'm just whining at this point.. But your answers are always appriciated!

plug the cpu cooler fan into CPU_OPT fan header also what motherboard do you have?

What's the difference if I plug it into CPU_OPT fan header? Also, I used Fan suite in BIOS and I don't like it because it won't let me drop fan speed below 40%..

CPU_OPT it tells fans to speed up via cpu temp, also the ai suite software, is different to the bios, and im pretty the lowest you can go is 40% i think , but 40% was about 500-600rpm for me
