So I just got a used motherboard today. And my i5 2500k won't move from 1.5GHz no matter what, I have benchmarked and played games and nothing seems to work. I have a EVGA Z68 SLI. I have also tried playing with the voltage and overclocking. Any thing I can do to get rid of this 1.5GHz not budging?

What are you using to check clock speeds, have you checked your temps?

If temps are fine, it might be that a couple of the chokes are burnt out or the vrms are failing.

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB
