dead USB's on my Asus K53SV

Hello guys,

 

I have one 6-year old Asus K53SV with worn-out USB's that I need* to get in working order. I have these ideas so far:

- buy USB+jack board off china eBay, but that will probably arrive after I get new PC...

- buy a desktop PCI-e USB card and connect that into notebook's mini PCI-e. *Very* temporary and improvised, but whatever, it might be fun :D

 

* I plan to buy new desktop PC in 1-3 months, but I am waiting for Ryzen and next paycheck(s)... till then, i have only this zombie.
