Ok guys so heres the deal. I have bought 12x Corsair SP120L fans to fit to my 3x 480mm radiators and a NZXT Sentry Mesh fan controller to run them off.

The NZXT Sentry Mesh has 5 channels, each supporting 30W.

Obviously there isnt enough channles to support 12 individual fans, so i was planning on buying a Y splitter so that i could run 4 fans per channel, occupying 3 of the 5 available channels.

The problem is:

1. I cant find an appropriate 3pin to 4x3 pin Y-splitter anywhere.

2. The NZXT SENTRY MESH only supports 3 pin fan inputs (there isnt enough room to physically fit 2xPWM fan headers adjacent to eachother).

3. The cables provided with the NZXT SENTRY MESH only have 2 of the 3 pins actually present, and are wired using 2 cables.

So I somehow need to find a way to power 12 fans in total, running a configuration of 4x PWM fans per channel that only accept 3 pin fan headers yet are wired with effectively 2 pin cables.

Confused yet, so am I?

They aren't called Y-splitters at that point (Y splitter is 1->2), just splitters. So like this one https://www.amazon.com/Computer-Splitter-Connector-Sleeved-Adapter/dp/B00DYQSZ68/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486844165&sr=8-1&keywords=4x3pin+fan+splitter

Its voltage based hardware controller. I don't know any such controller which would support PWM. If you want to use PWM, get powered hub and connect fans to mobo.

3rd pin is rpm. Mesh is slider controller so it doesn't need rpm sensor for anything. Only ground and power.

Wrong fans with wrong controller does that.

If you want to use PWM fans, you use mobo's headers. If you want to use hardware controllers, you use 3pin fans.
