Wired Steam In-Home Streaming

Hi so atm im using a single wired connection from my main pc to the modem then sent wirlessly to pc to stream the games. Trouble is the wifi signal is bad and i can barly manage 5mbps speeds. 

 

My question is, can i run a wired connection from one pc to the other pc  bypassing the wireless modem all together?

Is there not an ethernet port in the other room to connect to?

i have only 1 30 meter eternet cable and one 10 meter. i cannot connect both to router wired only from pc to pc with the 5 meter one

Buy another cable? You can try P2P, but it may not work as well.

Peer to peer. It will automatically detect a connection (unless you have permissions blocking access) and work out of the box.

If your main PC is the one in the signature it only has one adapter so you can't do p2p. It can be a hassle to set up because of DHCP and I have a feeling it might be out of your league and definetly harder than driving to the store and getting a patch cable.
