Looking for a 1440p ips panel for gaming primarily and sometimes movie watching. Price limit is 400$ usd.

For $400 you can get a G-Sync 165Hz monitor, but it is TN:

i suggest an IPS, TN looks bad.

he will be doing more than gaming, i think the tradeoff is worth it.

Well the choice is really up to him. But for Gaming, I would definitely get a G-SYNC one even if it is TN...

Still looking for more choices and recommendations. I want to go with IPS panel as I am tired of poor colors in some games wher ein some areas purples are blue just as an example.... I do more than just game, but that is the primary focus. IPS is a must imo... 1440p 24"-27"
