Have you actually tried using it? Try it first, see if there really are any issues, then look into replacing it. No sense in spending more money based on what others have said when you have one you can test.

I've had the thermaltake core p3 for roughly 1,5 months now and I haven't noticed any issues with the PCI-e extention cable, there is really no need to spend extra on getting a different one with decent quality. Just to give you an idea, a decent PCI-e extention cable of 30cm will set you back around €30 and those gray non-shielded ribbon cables are way cheaper, but they are known to have issues above a certain length or when a lot of EMI is happening around them.
