These are pictures of some ECC memory I acquired recently. It says 16 GB kit, which I assume means 2x8.

However one one of the sticks there is another sticker that was covered up.

I know that its 2x8, however they both have different memory speeds. The server I am looking at buying only supports the PC3-10600 that the Pacific Sun sticker says, not the Microns PC3-12800. They are ECC, and that is new to me.

what server is this going in?

Speed should be fine, faster memory will work and just be clocked slower.

It will most likely be an HP ProLiant DL380 G6 8-Port. Im buying it used for about $100 USD, without ram or HDD. It comes with 2X Xeon 5650's hex core. This will be my first server build, and I know they can be tricky to match parts with.
