I have a Early 2014 MacBook Air. i5 1.4 GHz. Will this be sufficient to run Final Cut Pro X, and render out videos? I also have my own PC, but I can get a good deal on Final Cut. So if anybody has any other suggestions on video editing software for PC, i'm open to hear those

I asked this question earlier last week! Got several good suggestions from DaVinci Resolve and Sony Vegas. Haven't had a chance to put either one through practical paces, but both feel familar to me coming from iMovie.

well what are you getting FCP for then? Is this hobby or is this for school or ??? If this isn't going to pay the bills, there are other editors out there.

...wow... FCP by itself is $300... are you sure you fit the EULA? It sounds like education credentials would be needed. I mean that is DIRT. CHEAP. and apple isn't much for giving discounts on ANYTHING, bundled or otherwise (have you not seen their RAM prices?)

ETA: Your MBA would work, but don't expect blistering speeds.
