SSD RAID 0 Error(s)

Seems like once, maybe twice a month ... one of the SSDs in my RAID 0 configuration will go offline (disappear from BIOs) and show back up after a reboot or two.

 

This has been going on for a few months now. Most of the time it isn't a big deal, because a reboot will solve the problem. But I feel like my SSD might be dying, and it really is bothersome when I'm in the middle of work or doing something *important* when this occurs. 

 

System slowdown ... freezes up -> System blue screens -> PC reboots into BIOs -> 1 of the 2 SSDs in RAID 0 goes missing so the PC can't boot.

 

How can I fix this from not ever happening again? I suppose not running a RAID 0 configuration is my best option, eh? 

 

Perhaps I should update/flash BIOs to latest version?

yep. what is happening is your drives are not powering on fast enough for your RAID controller to pick them up. look for a delay option for the POST screen in BIOS

Not powering on fast enough? This is happening while the computer is in-use.

 

Can you explain?

sorry i missed the blue screen part and thought it was occurring on boot. in this case your cables are prob dodgy
