Maybe, but just get a second 7950. The 280X will become as slow as a 7950.

Thanks. I was thinking of getting a second 7950 but somehow here in Singapore the price is still the same. But the 280x is just 20 dollars more. I asked the clerks just to see if they knew their stuff. How much better the 280x was to the 7970. They told me the 280x was twice as fast *facepalm*

I think you can. I don't know of a reason why you can't. I'll dig deeper.

Wow. After reading that I will definitely be saving up for an aftermarket 280X!

Is it possible to crossfire a 280x with the 7950?

my take on this is if you can CFX a 7950 with a 7970 and if 280x = 7970 then you should be able to CFX a 7950 and a 280x, but AMD might have disabled this function for the new cards. not sure though. all i can say is try and see.

its possible  for 280x and 7970 to be in corssfire

yes it is because its the same card, but OP is asking about a 280x and a 7950.
