My apologies as I am not very intelligent when it comes to this. I am only 15 and this is my first time doing this. I just built a PC with an MSI 970 Mobo and a GTX 750 GPU. I'm trying to install windows onto the HDD. When I start the computer, it says no HDMI, then it shows the first picture. I was able to some how get it to show the windows setup but I don't know how I did it. After it was installing windows I came back to my PC and it was a black screen so  Ifigured it was done and I turned it off. When I turned it back on, the same message appeared. Can anyone help me out?

Yes I have the files installed onto a USB.

When booting rapidly press F11 (Should bring up the boot menu) then select your USB Drive (Make sure your keyboard and usb are in 2.0 slots not 3.0) then go through the installation process again, when you come to drive selection, format the HDD and install to that drive. Windows should automatically reboot into the OS when it's done.

I've repetitively tapped F11 and a few other keys but none of them seem to work. It just brings up the same message. ther isn't any MSI logo or anything.

Are you using Onboard graphics or the HDMI on the GPU?

I'm using the HDMI on the GPU. There are no onboard graphics on this Motherboard. The thing is though, the setup was there before but I don't know how to get back to it. None of the keys are working.

Can you get into the BIOS? ESC/F2/8/10/11/12?

Hey, I'm 13, so I know how you feel about being young and building a computer. Here are a list of suggestions:

1. Make sure ALL cables in your system are fully seated (and I'll get to a really annoying set in a sec)

2. Make sure that your 2 pin connectors are all seated correctly in + and - configs, check your mobo manual

3. Make sure that you have your CPU seated correctly

4. Is your hard drive making clicking noises?

5. Make sure your RAM is seated correctly

6. Make sure that there are no screws stuck in or behind your motherboard

7. Did you forget to plug in your 4-pin CPU connector?

8. Are all of your fans plugged into the sysfan headers?

9. Is your EZ Debug light staying on? (If you have one)

Hope this helped!

Most of these wouldn't stop him from getting into the bios, and some would stop the computer completely.

The computer was on and in the windows setup before. I don't know how to get back to it nor do I know what the message on my screen means.

Have you tried testing your hard drive in a different system?

This isn't a HDD fault

Did you leave the CMOS/Bios jumper on the motherboard by any chance?

Is this a dumb question... but what is that...

A CMOS jumper is a little piece of plastic that connects to circuits to clear the CMOS, If you go to page 39 of your manual there's a page on it (presuming the digital version is the same) If not look for a page that has to do with the CMOS Jumper or Clear CMOS.

You might also need to reset the CMOS (restores BIOS to default settings) Here is a guide:

I don't have anything to reset it with. I think there should be a piece of rubber but it isn't there.

If you've got a screwdriver you can use that to connect the two pins
