Hello there!

Ever since I joined the LTT forum (about a year ago) I've used Steam to sign in (it was quicker) but now I want to move to a full on account with LTT (but keeping everything I've done with this account) I've seen that I can change the email but it won't work as the password is always incorrect. I tried unlinking Steam but it told me I can't because there is no other way of sign in. Can anyone please help me? Thanks

It's because you technically don't have a password on the forum (using an SSO service like steam just gives us an authentication token which we use to link you to the account, so no password is set for you). Send me a PM and I can look into resolving this for you.

After a bit of tinkering round I hooked up my Microsoft account which allowed me to remove the Steam login. Doing this somewhat refreshed my account and the email attached was somewhat now visible to the site. So now I was able to log out and hit 'Forgot password' and I was able to enter the email. Doing this now added the email and a password to the account, thus making it a "real" account. I changed the email to my daily use one and now I'm all good to go!
