what im really looking to do is to either sacrifice very little or retain those same speeds but pay less than 380 dollars a month

Is U-verse Internet even available at your residence? You can check at: https://www.att.com/shop/unified/availability.html. If I is, I recommend building your own Bundle because you get more choice and (possibly) better deals. I currently have U-verse TV and Internet though a custom bundle of U200 - around 200 channels and 18Mbps Internet (Unfortunately 18 is the max where I live) for around $100/month.

If you want to save money here is how you do it. Keep the cable internet and drop the tv service. Put an antenna on your roof and there you go. You will save a lot of money.

I truthfully wouldnt touch Uverse with a 30 foot pole. Its DSL and DSL is a dead technology. Coax still has life in it. Docsis 3.1 and deliver download speeds over 1Gbps. Not sure if and when your cable company will deploy it. I rather have fast internet than more channels. Im happy with my OTA tv service. Its much cheaper. Only cost about $29.00 for a in door antenna and I get maybe 30 channels. Kodi and Netflix take care of the rest.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
